Nurupu’s water supply project is a remarkable story of community dedication and collective effort. Prior to the scheduled program date, the under-organized churches came together, contributing funds to ensure the success of this vital initiative. Their primary goal was to provide a reliable water connection to the Guest Speaker’s house, significantly enhancing the comfort and convenience for visiting speakers.

A beautifully designed one-bedroom house was constructed, complete with modern toilet and shower facilities, thanks to the new water supply. The connection brought fresh, clean water directly into the guest house, making it a more comfortable and accessible residence for speakers and visitors.

The water line was further extended to reach the grandstand, located approximately 20 to 30 meters from the Guest Speaker’s house. In doing so, the project not only benefited the church facilities but also provided clean water to nearby communities, greatly improving their access to this essential resource.

This water supply project exemplifies the spirit of unity and service within the Nurupu community, transforming lives and strengthening the region’s health and well-being through collective effort and shared vision.

Beyond serving the Guest Speaker’s house, the water supply was extended through the main referral hospital, the renowned Nupuru Health Centre. This hospital is a critical healthcare hub serving over 50,000 residents across three districts Lufa, Henganofi, and Okapa of the Eastern Highlands Province. The project successfully linked the water to the hospital, ensuring a vital resource for both patients and staff.

At Imaka, a truly remarkable story unfolded during the recent outreach efforts. Non-believers, who were initially recruited to serve as security for the Guest Speaker over a two-week period, experienced a profound transformation through their interactions with God's Word. Each evening, as they gathered to hear the message of salvation, these individuals began to sense a stirring in their hearts.

Through consistent engagement and the power of the Holy Spirit, they made a life-changing decision to surrender their lives to Christ. When the altar call was given, they responded wholeheartedly, stepping forward and entering the waters of baptism. Their public declaration of faith marked a significant milestone in their spiritual journey, exemplifying the transformative power of Christ’s love and the message of hope.

This inspiring story from Imaka perfectly aligns with our PNG For Christ Evangelism Campaign 2024, showcasing how God's Word can touch even those who may seem far from His grace. It reminds us all that no one is beyond His reach, and through evangelism, community engagement, and God's guiding Spirit, lives can be forever changed. As we prepare for this upcoming campaign, let stories like these inspire us to share Christ boldly, trusting that He will work mightily in the hearts of many.
